Of Arts and Crafts: Pop Junk Love Presents, Common Room

The Not So Common Room

Sunday after gym when I got to meet Regine who became my friend because of Travelling Notebook. It was our second time to meet, instead of mailing the notebook to me, we thought it would be better to hand over the notebook. She asked me if I could meet her at McDo Katipunan which is just near Eastwood. (More of Travelling Notebook Part 2 soon) I've been looking forward to go to Katipunan because of Common Room. Knowing that I am such an artist, I was tagged by my office sissy, Allie, to Common Room's FB page. You know I've been meeting a lot of artsy people and Regine is one of them, she was suppose to join me in Common Room  but we've been having problem looking for parking space. So, I went to Common Room alone. She told me she will just drop by the next time. Anyway, her place is just within the vicinity.

Common Room is all about arts and crafts. It is the home to Filipino artists slash entrepreneur of today's generation. You will be impress more as you roam around the place from moss art, paper mache, decoupage, lettering, calligraphy, origami... Ohhhlalala, you know, this place is heaven to me. Many of these artists, I've seen through different bazaars and events like Abbey Sy, whom I've met in Kawaii in Manila 2 and Craft MNL, was the sponsor of the Calligraphy Class I've attended in Alabang. To see their projects in just one place is better than to go from one place to another.

Want to hone your creativity? Might as well, attend their workshops held every month. (Check out their page in Facebook for more details). Of course, I did not go home without  nothing, I bought chalk for my little board (which I bought in Eastwood Bazaar) and cord bundlers.

Common Room inspires me to do the Travelling Notebook. So now, I have an idea of what to do to with my page. Are you excited? Do not worry, I will let you peek of the outcome.
Kayo pa ;)

The veranda is considered as one of the work area.

Here's my take home picks.

I was really inspired to create my own paper flowers. I will focus on this.

I remember receiving this kind of art frame from my office friend, Patricia.
