Postcard from Jiufen, Taiwan

The famous alley of Jiufen

My sister, Kulet, sent me a postcard of Jiufen and among the postcards that she sent - it was my favorite. From that time that I got the postcard I thought of visiting this place. It was countless times that happened to me that I was just staring at such lovely place in a book or a postcard and suddenly I was there. I considered that "to be there moments" were Apo's  (God) blessings.

Jiufen is known for red lanterns, street food, old street at the top of the mountain. It was my second day in Taipei but I considered this as my travel highlight and so it deserve a credit of posting this entry the last of my Taiwan travel. It was just a sudden visit but remembering my visit in Jiufen gave me a feeling of nostalgia. It will be one of my proof that one of your  million wishes can come true.

This place can be compared to Baguio, Philippines but what makes Jiufen different? Red lanterns everywhere.
