I've always wanted to visit Japan because of Kyoto. This is where the traditional beauty of Japan can be seen. Aside from that, Cathy and I targetted to visit as much UNESCO World Heritage sites as we can while we are in Japan and in Kyoto alone they do have 17 in total. We picked among the sites that's more appealing to us because we're sure that we won't be able to visit all 17 in 2 days, but of course aside from visiting the World Heritage Sites, we also visited the famous tourist spots in this city. 

Kyoto is known as home of the Geisha, all of the matcha flavored food, ryokan, Historic Monuments and many more that you need to discover. Once became the capital city of Japan centuries ago, this is a well preserved city. If you want to experience old Japan, this place should not be missed. The transportation amazes me, it's easy to navigate from one place to another. People here would pedal their way to reach their destinations and if you're into biking - you will love it here more.
