New Discovery: PMQ Hong Kong

Hi Guys,

The Holiday rush limited me from posting my entry. I was really busy. From my Tesol Class to Office working 10 hours every day for 4 days and couple of commitments every weekend it was all tiring but fulfilling at the same time. It has been couple of months since I visited Hong Kong. I have mentioned that it was my first time to meet my postcrossing friend from Hong Kong, Hazel. She alloted few of her hours with us. It was great meeting friend for the first time whom you just met through snail mailing. Kindda cool right? What's cooler with that was when we met with friends from Manila. Mitch, my former office sister and Arvie, my combat teacher. That's my kind of travel.

Hazel took us to PMQ. It was my first time here. PMQ houses different Hong Kong artists. From fashion design, music, photography, weddings, pastries and many more. Their current location was a former Fire Station which amazes me because of the structure. There's variety of exhibits from time to time. You may check out their webby if you're interested. They held workshops and different events too.

What I like about Hong Kong is it never fail to surprise me everytime I go here. And visiting an art center was my first time. You know I am not really fond of museums but there are few exceptions that I do consider like this one. An artist like me especially if you're into contemporary or would love interactive museums would look forward for PMQ. It's where you will learn once culture in a modern time especially if you're looking forward for what's new in that country.

Try to use the stairs instead of the elevator and you will see designs on the wall or the stairs itself. Like this.

Here are few of my discoveries and I hope you'll find yours too. Let me know about it as well. Visit each room if you have  enough time when you go here. You may also buy stuff here or just relax.

I am glad Hazel brought us here. I had my picture taken with Invader, a French Artist, who's famous for pixel arts. See the pixel above me, on the post.
