That Distinct Beauty of Myanmar.

If you've been to Myanmar, how are you going to describe it's beauty?

It has been a long time since I was not able to post something here.  I need to practice writing English more and tell stories about my past travels. Yeah most of my post will be from the past. I missed blogging. I am currently in a struggle to post because I've been very busy with my teaching career and yes I am still here in Viet Nam - teaching English.

I've been targeting countries and places near Viet Nam while I am still here. So, last February I was given a chance to travel in Myanmar since it was TET Holiday. We have no work and all Vietnamese were in vacation during that time. So I went there with Madhs. She has been my companion since we were here whenever I travel out of the country. Remember Bangkok?

We booked a round trip ticket to Yangon prior. That is where the start of our Myanmar escapade. 

Yangon is a two hour air trip from Ha Noi. We were actually expecting for a backpacker type of trip as we would like to explore as many places in Myanmar as possible. Initially, we planned to go to Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay, Inle Lake and Pyay. There is one thing that I requested from Madhs and that is to go to Pyay and it is up to her where she wanted to go to next as long as we return to Yangon on time for our flight back to Ha Noi. 

Why Pyay? Well, I've been a UNESCO traveler and as much as possible I would like to see (and touch) UNESCO World Heritage places. I did my research and I was able to accomplish this travel in Pyay. Of course more stories will be published soon. It was kind of a struggle but going back from the start, we already expected the backpack kind of travel. 

We visited Bagan. Bagan is a must if you are in Myanmar and that is more than any other places in this country. So much about Bagan has been told in other blogs and I hope I can give my own version telling something about this place as it deserves to be described by each and every person who visits this place. 

Yangon of course should not be missed. Oh well, some travelers can actually go to Mandalay which is easier if you are targeting Bagan and Inle Lake. Yangon though is the capital and has a beauty that needs to be told too. Some people prefer to go to other places and not visit this place but we still chose too. Anyway, Myanmar has a distinct kind of beauty that transcends even to it's people. More of the stories will be posted here so watch out for it.
