Hidden Tambayan: MiMar Le Alcaz

As soon as my cousin, Manang Cita, saw me when I arrived in Paoay, she told me that she would bring me to this place where a lot of bougainvillea flowers are blooming. 

I am addicted to bougainvillea. Hmmm, flowers actually. But in the Philippines, one of the flowers that could be easily seen is the bougainvillea. 

So, after my uncle Dencio's burial, and before my cousins went back to Manila and Pampanga, we headed to the bougainvillea place in Nagbacalan. It's still located in Paoay. 

The place is called MiMar Le AlCaz Garden.               

    

I have this belief that if we cultivate more bougainvillea, we could appreciate our own flowers just like how we marveled at the beauty of sakura in Japan. It could also be the reason people travel to the Philippines, just to see how these flowers are well designed and landscaped.   

It was too hot that day. We just stayed there for a couple of minutes and took pictures. We could not stay that long because of the extreme heat. We were thinking that it was also nice to visit this place at night too. However, some of us were leaving that day. 

Even though it was hot, the place was still good for pictorials. The brightness was enough to showcase the beauty of the bougies and the landscape of the area. 

It could have been nice to stay and take pictures since we were the only guests at that time.

Aside from that, MiMar Le Alcaz is also the house of Cafe Bloom. Unfortunately, we were not able to try their food choices. 

If you are from Ilocos and a fan of bougainvillea, you may want to consider buying from this place. But, if you are a traveler, wanting to discover much more of the northern part of the Ilocos, especially Paoay, you may visit this bougainvillea garden. 

Thanks to MiMar Le Alcaz for cultivating and showcasing these bougies. It could be the start of Filipinos acknowledging this flower more. I will definitely come back!
