I Went Inside a Courtyard in Taiwan: Lin Family Mansion
To be honest, I have no idea what a courtyard is (haha!) until I went inside the Lin Family Mansion.
Before I went to Taiwan, part of my preparation was to list my itinerary. Part of my itinerary would (as much as possible) include ancestral houses whenever I travel. There is so much more cultural experiences just by being inside an ancestral house. (I remember staying overnight in one of those in Macau. It was epic!) Not all people would love ancestral houses - but I do!
One of the famous ancestral houses in Taipei is the Lin Family Mansion and Garden. The Mansion is considered as best example of the tradition Taiwanese house and garden - It is considered as Three Courtyard Mansion.
I Welcome you to Lin Family Mansion and Garden.
