Modern Taiwan: Ximending

Ximending is the Time Square and Shibuya of Taiwan. Staying within the vicinity of Ximending is one of the choices that I've made because it's alive during wee hours. Since my sister was far from Taipei, she needed to board the train by 8pm every time we meet and I would chose to stay alone in Ximending. This area became my comfort place during night time. It's famous for Night Market and High End Brand Shopping. There's these famous street known for movies and the other side is known for tatoo shops. What I like about this area is the performances for free. Artists lives here. The Red House is also across from this place.

Walk along the alleys and immerse yourself in this area. You'll find anything you want to know about the modern Taipei - street performances and food crawling. Whether it's night time or day time, I am sure you will love this place. ;)
