We were Early Birds: Early Bird Breakfast Club
The last time I saw Ie, it was back on March when we went to Bacold. Ie has been my constant companion travelling the Philippines. She's one of the few people I could be logically and emotionally at the same time. Since we we're both working in Taguig and we both love to explore this city we met up for few talks over breakfast at Early Bird after 4 months of not seeing each other. It was like a reunion. :)
Mornings in Taguig is very different from other cities. If Ortigas was my home since birth, Taguig became my new home now. And to be here requires familiarization, including where to eat breakfast? I tell you, there's a lot but you need to do a little research as BGC's land area is very big. Spending your breakfast in BGC has always been a perfect choice. Relaxing - Silent - Secure. The location of Early Bird Breakfast Club is near different hang outs and bars. No doubt why they chose the Fort Complex.
We came early since our work shift ended at 6am. When we arrived it was still closed - We we're the Early Birds. Then 7 am we came in. It was a cozy restaurant with high ceiling. The edges of the wall color is orange which I assume is the color of breakfast. There's the mural of the birds on the wall as well. The Interior was nice. The waitress gave the newspaper menu - which I thought was a real newspaper. It was their breakfast menu. I asked her if I could bring home the menu after - she said yes. Thank you very much!
They've got rice meals and if you're not into rice, you may want to try other varieties like their Breakfast in Bread, Breakfast and Eggs, Bites of Breakfast and their Sweet Sweet Breakfast selections including their own versions of pancakes and champorados. And of course, coffee for breakfast, or you may want to opt to tea. I ordered Chicken Adobo Flakes and Ie ordered, Chicken Salpicao and black pudding. - The serving was big. I liked how the adobo flakes was formed. It was formed like a tower. It was very tasty - the best adobo flakes so far! I was very happy with the Adobo Flakes. It completed my day - Really. I also tried the black pudding - I also liked it. Ie asked me to consume it and so I did.
We will definitely be back to this resto, one happy morning. It was one breakfast I could never forget.
