Pasig Food Trip: Kanto Freestyle
Kanto means the corner of the street. Yet, this indie restaurant (per Ie's term) is not located at the corner. I've tried the food here before because, they were the concessionaire in our office. However, I chose to feel the vibe of Kanto eating. I went there with Ie. Thank God, she has the same schedule as mine, I seldom ask my friends to eat breakfast because I work at night and most of them work in the morning. Breakfast is my dinner - their dinner is my breakfast. If it confuses you - just remember how Ironic Life is. Welcome to my world!
Kanto Freestyle has 3 branches (now I understand why they pulled out from the office) The main branch is in Mandaluyong, then there's small branches in Kapitolyo, Marikina and Eastwood. I already saw the one in Eastwood and Mandaluyong (through Ie's phone cam and I really find it kewl.) The one located in Kapitolyo is set in a garage. Jetty told me that there's a lot of people all the time. So when I asked the waiter, if it's 12mn are there a lot of people eating too? She said yes. They ran out of chairs when we were there. It was blockbuster all the time. By the way, they're open 24/7 like most of the call centers that's why most of the customers in Kapitolyo Branch are from the BPO industry. I assume that it is the same in Eastwood where there is a lot of call centers too. Aha! So, I therefore conclude that they're target market is : Tadah! - Call Center People. (Hah!) Whatevs! (I just assume)
Anyway, I tried chicken longganisa because my budget is 100 pesos. (You can have a good meal at 100php) Ie likes their pancake so much. I am not sure what pancake she ordered. You may want to try all. It looks yummy! Pancakes are their best seller.
