Marikina Food Trip: Cafe Lidia

Cafe Lidia is a homegrown restaurant in Marikina. I do not really go to Marikina as often as possible because, I am not familiar with the streets and the only area that I know is the River Banks. I later learned that Marikina is one of the food trip place in Metro Manila. I went to Marikina because I have to meet Sheena for Batanes planning. We do not have enough time after our shift or during weekends so we decided to plan Monday before our shift. It's not a problem for me going to Marikina since it is one ride from my place. Cafe Lidia is also recommended by my Boss Royce. Sheena went there once. It was one of the restaurants that was awarded by Tripadvisor. You should know why.

If you want options for food. This is the place to be. Since I am a pasta person, I chose to eat pasta, Penne ala Vodka with Bacon and Sheena too, Mixed Seafood Marinara. We stayed there for almost 4 hours since Sheena is from other department and other building and we do not get to talk as often as we could now (compared to before) we just do not talk about Batanes but our own lives as well. It was girl bonding. Whatever you call it.

After our pasta we tried Buffalo Wings - very delicious! It's like heaven and earth! Then cakes. I am not impress with their cakes but who knows, you may like it. Overall, if I'll go back to Cafe Lidia it's because of the pasta and buffalo wings. I may choose another pasta next time but the buffalo wings - aside from the one I'll be ordering. I might take home some.
