The French Experience: La Vie Parisienne/ La Maison Rose
You know what? There is this new restaurant slash bakery slash wine library located in Lahug, Cebu City that I was really excited to see. And I am excited to show you as well. Of course, you're as special as how this place is.
It was dark when we arrived Cebu from our travel to Maya Port. Tired, Sleepy and Sweaty we were not really happy with the traffic in Cebu City that night and not to mention our travel story starting from Maya Port. The weather was hot and the emotions were mixed up. We ate at CNT Lechon and grabbed drinks in Starbucks Ayala when we arrived. We were thinking if we still want to go to this French Bakery. Junee wanted to rest. It was 9pm. She decided to search for Balay Bakasyunan alone. Four of us decided to go to this new restaurant. We changed our clothes, we're still in SB then we headed to La Vie Parisienne.
I am not really a wine person - especially not red wine. Joanna is the expert when it comes to wine. I am more of the margarita person. Haha!!! I am not a drunken master though, hmmm... maybe Allie? haha! kidding. Anyway, the reason why I am telling you this is because, La Vie is known for French Bakery - breads and wine. They're known for french breads, wine, champaigne, coffee and cheese. They have this Wine Library that Mitch and I stayed there for long because it's cold and we enjoyed inspecting the wines. This place is really new to me. It got me curious. Tell me if I am wrong, most of the people would visit La Vie for photo op. ( I admit!!!) The place looks really nice. A friend from Cebu said, it's best to come at night. I could've agree more. The cherry blossom and the entire area lights up.
From the other side of the area is where La Maison Rose is located. This restaurant is known as "The Pink House" for the obvious reason. They serve French cuisine. We didn't get to try because we stayed at La Vie. I just dropped by the Pink House and asked them if I could take photos. I've read that it's better if you book an appointment with them as this restaurant can be filled. They only have 40 seats. I was lucky that there were only 1 couple and I was able to capture the entire place. The 2nd floor was for French class held everyday most students were nurses. I was about to go back to La vie when the guy called me and said "Ms, you're missing this room. You may want to see it. It's also beautiful." and so I did.
