We could not believed it too but God is so good. It was an extreme happiness.
I stayed in Batanes for 7 days with Sheena, my office friend and Mother, Sheena's mom. We were so lucky to visit 3 famous islands of Batanes - Basco, Sabtang and Itbayat during month of October where a lot of people were expecting that it's going to rain or there will be a storm or the ocean will be rough and it would be hard to travel to Sabtang or Itbayat. We missed some of the attractions though (like the 4 islands North of Itbayat which would require another day stay in Itbayat, Blue Lagoon in South Batad, and Rapang Cliff) but since Batanes captured our hearts - We will be back. I hope you could join us next time. We were so fortunate and we could not stopped Thanking Apo for keeping us safe and allowing us to travel and to all of you who prayed for us - Thank you very much! It was sunny most of our stay although the ocean was rough at times and travelling to Sabtang and Itbayat was really unpredictable. We believed in perfect timing and to trust the locals is also another lesson that I learned during my stay in Batanes.
Too much for my travel story, I know you are all excited for this post and I am sorry to keep you all waiting. I really would like to present my Batanes articles as perfect as possible because Batanes is really a perfect place for me and so is this travel. Of course there were challenges but it's part of it's beauty. I cannot promise to finish everything today but I will in the couple of weeks. To give you all a preview of my Batanes expedition, may I present the Many Bicycles of Batanes.
One of the challenges in Batanes is their transportation, especially the islands of Itbayat and Sabtang. They have limited tricycles and most people would either walk (even the farthest places) or use bicycle/motorcycle it maybe a challenge for the tourist but it is not for them. One of the reasons why Batanes is crystal clear beautiful. I've been having a good time taking photos of the bicycles, using it as a subject with the beautiful background would depict the beauty of this province. I will let you all peek. Hope you'll like it.
