Trust Issue: Chinapoliran Port in Black and White

With MB Veronica's Captain Julio featured in Magpakailanman GMA7.

We've been talking about Chinapoliran Port since planning stage with Sheena in Cafe Lidia until we came to Batanes. Have you seen You Tube? I did not watch the You Tube and I was really clueless but I've seen the photos. I've been listening to Sheena and the exchange of conversations in Marfel's. This is one of the iconic places in Itbayat - the place that I was really looking forward to see. Chinapoliran Port is famous for it's steep port the reason for this is because, there is no shore line in Itbayat and to go here is to either by air or sea. It's cost effective to take the faluwa and there is more adventure because aside from the faluwa ride you HAVE TO experience the jump from the boat to the port. I know it's easy but check out how the port looks like.  If the boat is at the middle you have to be strong enough not to be scared..... and not to slip.

If you have trust issues I tell you do not go to Itbayat via faluwa. I've been a fan of the Ivatans since I came to Itbayat. You will be reading more stories about them as we go along. 

It was my turn to jump I was not really that scared because I've seen the crew of the MB Veronica plus the locals of Itbayat. I've seen one of the crew that Sheena and I met when we went to Top Load, Ewo, who supported me and say "Kaya mo Yan!" I got motivated! You will know that you have to jump when a man arcs his hand ready to  grabbed your wrist while the others will be his back up plus the MB Veronica crew from your back. It was an instinct - we we're not talking then I jumped. Then I heard them say Dios Mamajes (Thank You!)

Transporting goods to the faluwa

If I'll stay in Itbayat I might stay here longer hours. It's cool to be here. While Sheena and I waited for Veronica to be unloaded, (when we're about to go home to Basco.) I slept in one of their waiting sheds. Aside from that there's a lot of things going on.
