Beyond Kyoto: Toei Movie Studio Park

I must say that: Prior to going to Toei you'll pass by the Nintendo Office.
11-1 Kamitoba Hokodatecho, Minami Ward, Kyoto Prefecture 601-8501. (Just to let you know. Hihi!!!)

Cathy has been an avid fan of anime so she asked if we could visit Toei while we were in Kyoto. I have very minimal details about anime (hmm, or maybe I am a denial - not known single one of them) But I just realized that it is really a phenomenon not just in Japan or Asia but also in the entire world. Believe me, I have a friend from Europe who's also learning Nihonggo because of anime. It's crazy I know, but knowing this, it made me jump into this liking and delighted by the thought that anime is indeed a part of Japan's culture.

And because I am into culture thingy, here's what you'll expect to see in Toei.

Ticketing

When I told my guy friends that I will be traveling to Japan. I saw this amazement, like when you tell a girl that you will be going to the SM Mega Sale. Hahaha!!! I just realize how much of a great deal it was for them. I wish they were with me too. So this entry is dedicated for them and for all anime lovers.

Toei. It is a movie theme park. So expect that there are times that it will be closed because there's filming going on. Aside from the anime museum, there is an outdoor Edo period setting that you'll have fun all day not knowing where to point your camera.

So I've been a beginner with anime. Well, not just in Toei but during this entire Japan trip I would asked her a lot of questions about it. Random questions that may seem rhetorical to her. 😁 Thanks for your patience Cat! What was the above picture character's name again?

And because I am a Bioman baby. When I saw this pic of Bioman, I remembered my Ate and Kulet. (siblings) We were watching the series every Saturday.

There are shows for free. The language is in Nihonggo though, but you'll enjoy the show regardless.

What to expect more from Toei?
There were series of events from time to time. You may want to check out their webby for that. There's costume rentals if you want to play the role of a Ninja, Samurai or Maiko and stroll around the area or have your picture taken at a photobooth. There's attractions that has additional charges like: Ninja Mystery House and 3D Theatre but for an overall experience - it's fun.

Thank you to Takaya for showing us the way here. You're such a big help! Arigatou!
