Nagoya For You

Admit it, Nagoya is not on top of your list of your Ultimate Japan Travel. A lot of people prefer to visit Tokyo or Kansai Region which includes Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. Elle and I originally planned to exit in Tokyo or Osaka but since it was hard for us to find a cheap rate for our return flight, and found Nagoya's rate the lowest, we grabbed our chance and booked it. So what's in it in Nagoya?

Well, it was a blessing for me since ever since I wanted to see Shirikawa-go and you know how thankful I am (up until know) when we witnessed Shirikawa-go at it's best during the latter part of the winter season. But, aside from Nagoya as the easiest entry point going to Shirikawa-go there's few places that's not to miss in Nagoya, especially if you're staying in this city for a day. Just to let you know, the people in this place

has a good sense in fashion. I don't know with you, but I find them more stylish than the people from Kansai. (hmm... but do not get me wrong though, because I love people from Kansai. They're very genuine and sincere. They're like family to me.) Maybe if we go up north which is where Tokyo is, people are really more trendy. Anyway, I will find that out when I visit Tokyo next time.

So... Nagoya. We only have a day to visit places near our hostel. So, here's Nagoya for you.

Nagoya is part of the Aichi Prefecture. It is in between Tokyo and Osaka. One of the most populated cities in Japan.

This is Nagoya Central Station

We decided to roam inside Nagoya Central Station. I remember Kyoto Station when we were here. It's a little bit the same but different in a way.

I later learned that Nagoya Central Station is the largest station in Japan. One of the biggest in the whole world.

There is another place in Nagoya that we did not miss to visit - Sakae

In Sakae, we visited Nagoya TV Tower and Oasis 21.

Below is the picture of Nagoya TV Tower from Hisaya Odori Park. This tower is the Eiffel Tower of Japan. It is also, the oldest tower in Japan. Made famous for Godzilla movie. Nagoya TV Tower is also known as "Thunder Tower" due to the lights illuminating at night.

Nagoya TV Tower
Walking distance from Hisaya Odori Park is Oasis 21. Oasis 21 is popular because of the glass roof with water that looks like that the water is floating in the air. This building maximizes environment's benefits. The water on the roof  is to reduce heat radiation on the underground. The rainwater and well are used as well. Oasis 21 parts are Spacious - Aqua, Field of green, Bus Terminal, Shops and Galaxy Platform.

I love this place. It's well built and clear. Elle and I could not stop ourselves from taking pictures. Every level has something to see and worth checking.

Here's the view on the roof top. See the tower? Yes, this is the spot for your next IG post.
